JOB DESCRIPTION
Yellow Door Energy is looking for a Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will be excited about bringing clean energy solutions to businesses in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. She/he will report to the CFO and will work closely with all teams across the organization.
The Financial Analyst will have the following main responsibilities:
Support the Head of Risk to monitor and report on project performance to the Board’s Investment Committee
Work closely with all teams across the organization to support bids for solar leases and other offerings to potential customers
Support the CFO to:
Coordinate the annual business plan, including creation and maintenance of related templates and tools and consolidation at group level
Roll out an ERP Planning and Budgeting system to replace Excel based processes
Ongoing financial forecast and scenario modelling
Financial modeling for debt and equity raising
Upgrade existing financial models based on best practice modelling techniques
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Take a holistic view of the strategic purpose of financial models and how the various models fit together
Constructively challenge all inputs and take accountability for the accuracy and quality of financial models throughout the organization
Foster positive working relationships at all levels of the organization
Analyse deeply all information received
Strive for continuous improvement, challenging how things are done in order to enhance systems, processes and the quality of financial models
These responsibilities are subject to change depending on the needs of YDE. There may be a need for travel to support country offices, within the scope of the role in YDE.
YOU…
3+ years of experience in a corporate, financial or professional services firm
University degree is required, preferably in a numerate discipline
CFA charter holder (or candidate) and/or MBA is desirable
Highly advanced excel modelling skills combined with a critical and commercial mindset
Excellent IT skills, especially highly advanced MS Excel. Only those with advanced modelling skills should apply
Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and interpretative skills
Ability to challenge assumptions and ways of working in a constructive manner
Ability to describe complex technical issues in a clear and non-technical way
Self-starter with initiative, enthusiasm and an open/flexible mindset to enable a quick assimilation of and application of new techniques and knowledge
A very good understanding of accounting and financial concepts
Experience of operating in Middle East, Africa and South Asia, renewable energy or infrastructure sectors is considered beneficial but not required
