The Middle East and North Africa are among the most promising and fastest growing markets for renewable energy. Many countries in the region have abundant sun, space and sovereign capital and are aggressively expanding solar, wind, storage, hydrogen and infrastructure projects.

According to Dii Desert Energy’s “MENA Energy Outlook 2026”, the region’s operational renewable capacity surged to 43.7 GW in 2025, adding almost 14 GW in just one year.
